Pipeline)におけるパイプライン段単位の細粒度パワーゲーティング機構の実装法とその評価について述べている.STPは,大域的なクロックを必要とせずに,隣接するパイプライン段間でのみデータ転送制御信号を授受して動作する自律的なパイプラインであるため,アクティブでないパイプライン段ではスイッチング電力を全く消費しない.本研究は,このSTPの転送信号を活用して,必要最小限の追加回路で自律的な細粒度パワーゲーティングを実現することによって,リーク電力削減も同時に達成するものである.提案機構を備えた40段の環状STP パイプラインLSIチップをe-shuttle
